Greg Krane DVM
Born and raised in Bergen County, Dr. Greg Krane obtained his B.S. in Biology/Biotechnology from Worchester Polytechnic Institute in 2005 and his DVM from Tufts University in 2009, where he was active in many organizations, one of which was being inducted into Phi Zeta (National Veterinary Honor Society). Dr. Krane practiced at a 24 hour hospital in South Jersey for two years before joining the team at Park Ridge (he's very excited to be moving back to the area). He wanted to be a veterinarian since high school, when he worked as a veterinary assistant (including a few summers at Park Ridge) and also attended a summer camp at Tufts for students interested in pursuing veterinary medicine. He has also worked as a counselor for that same camp, as a student technician in the Tufts ER/ICU, and as a summer research intern for a pharmaceutical company. Dr. Krane grew up having dogs, hamsters, parakeets, rabbits, and lizards as pets. He and his fiancee (also a veterinarian) currently live with a cat (Georgia) and a dog (Lacey). Though he enjoys many areas of veterinary medicine, his strongest medical interests are cardiology, diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology, and feline medicine. His professional memberships include the AVMA, AAHA, NJVMA, and AAFP. Outside of veterinary medicine, his hobbies include sports (mainly ice hockey & baseball), poker, cooking, music (playing bass & drums / going to concerts), the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. In addition to building strong relationships with patients and clients, Dr. Krane's favorite thing about being a veterinarian is being able to combine his scientific curiosity with his desire to help people and their pets. |
